Focus on Italian Early Music (II): Claudio Brizi with the Faint-Scent Ensemble Concert

We are delighted to announce the IInd concert of the “Focus on Italian Early Music”, co-organized by the Italian Institute of Culture of the Italian Embassy and the Central Conservatory of Music, in the framework of the “2019 CCOM Baroque Music Festival and Pipe Organ Week”.

Claudio Brizi

Claudio Brizi is a well-known organ and harpsichord player, as well as a scholarly expert on organs and ancient keyboard instruments. His research has brought him a worldwide reputation as an authority in the field of the so-called Hybrid Keyboard instruments.He has performed over 2,000 concerts for well-known musical institutions around the world. His discography, some 100 CDs, ranges from the late Renaissance to the present day. The specialized music media has conferred him many awards, among which is the recent “Japan Audiophile Prize”. As a chamber music artist, he has collaborated with numerous high-lever singers and instrumentalists. He has designed over twenty instruments in Italy, Germany and Japan. He also consults on the restoration of historical instruments. His own collection of historical instruments is of particular significance and includes a XVI century harpsichord, many historical pianos and fortepianos (the oldest is of 1774!), and some rare examples of the claviorgan. He is professor at the Conservatory in Perugia (Italy) and the Kusatsu Summer Music Academy (Japan). He has been regularly invited to teach masterclasses, attend conferences and seminars, and to serve as a jury member at competitions.

Li Ruoyun

In 2013, Li Ruoyun entered Central Conservatory of Music, then she was taught by professorsLiang Chai, Bing Yu. 2014, She wonthe Second Prize at the Hong Kong International Violin Open Competition. Since 2017 she serve as the Concert master of the Graduate Symphony Orchestra. March 2018, She participated in Seiji Ozawa Music Academy Orchestra, as the concertmaster of the second violin section. May 2018, She played Tchaikovsky violin concerto in D with the He Bei province symphony orchestra. In July 2018 she won the second place in the DIMF international music summer camp competition.

Zhao Yinan

In 2011, He was admitted to the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School under professor Xue Wei and professor Zhang Jia. In 2016, Hegraduated from the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School with the firstplace in his major. At present, He is a sophomore in CCOM under the professorZhang Ti.

Feng Jiani

Feng Jiani is a graduate student at the Central Conservatory of Music. Under Professor Liang Danan, he won the 2016 National Scholarship with outstanding results.

Wen Huiling

In 2013, Huiling Wen was honored to be admitted into The Central Conservatory of Music with the highest score nationwide. There she became a student of the famous violist Prof. Su Zhen. In 2018, Huiling graduated from Royal Academy of Music with Distinction. In 2018, She was awarded first prize at the Young Musician International Competiton ‘Città di Barletta’ in Italy.

Qiu Shuhao

In 2006, Qiu was admitted by the Attached Middle School of CCOM with the first place. Studying with Professor Yu Mingqing. In 2011, His quartet won the gold prize in the 8th Golden Bell Awards.In 2011, Qiu won the first prize of Fu Chengxian Scholarship. In 2012, he was selected as a member of the Best of Best Programme. Qiu Shuhao was recommended to the Graduate Departmentof CCOM as a graduate in November, 2015.

Qu Rongda

Studying for Master’s degree in Central Conservatory of Music. From 2017 to 2018, served as double bassplayer of the Symphony Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of Music. In 2013, he was admitted to Central Conservatory of Music and studied underprofessor Song Yi. In 2019, he continued to study for a master’s degree with the first place in his major.

Yang Yi

Yang Yi, graduate student of the Central Conservatory of Music, flute principal of the Graduate Symphony Orchestra of the Central Conservatory of Music. Under Professor Han Guoliang, doctoral Supervisor of the Central Conservatory of Music. In August 2016, he won the third place in the flute professional youth group of the first Asian wind music competition.

Cai Rui

Cai Rui was born in Shantou, Guangdong. Under Professor Wei Weidong, a famous oboe performer of the Central Conservatory of Music. Many times participated in the Beijing Modern Music Festival, Music and Dance Collection, Beijing International Baroque Music Festival and other performances, is currently the chief oboe of the Chinese Youth Symphony Orchestra.
