Gianluca Cingolani has been working for years on large registers, including music, digital compositing and passion for calligraphy.

Gianluca Cingolani’s has been – and is – a solo exploration that has led him to cross artistic forms, to combine them, to confuse them and bring them new life.

The images of his photographic works emerge from and leave the two-dimensional perspective, taking on the appearance of objects that decidedly place themselves in space with their corporeality.

The narration in his video creations is built on textures of fabric, organza, tarlatan, cotton, nets, mixed with other textures, plaster, rice paper, evoking the arts of tailoring, carpentry, spinning, which weave and construct the plots of the narratives world offers us.

Contemplating becomes listening and action, synchronicity. Contemplate, therefore, to see oneself and at the same time to vanish; white and black together and divided.

Thus for abstract visions, made of a refined and inexhaustible range of shades of black, Cingolani offers the viewer opportunities for contemplation to enter the fabric of time.

Large gauze canvases are the vibrant and subtle texture on which light plays on deception, thickening shadows or burning details. It is what the artist calls memory and on this memory he runs his hand: deformations, inversions, reticulations, overlays, solarizations.

The brush slips: words or ideograms are composed and decomposed lightly giving body to dreamlike visions as fragments of magical sentences.

The signs fade, the fabric becomes thicker and wrinkled, underneath unknown shapes, celestial bodies, distant planets that measure themselves with mystery, with elsewhere.

Opale scent bodies that become black holes against a blinding white background, almost a spatial concept.

Like Fontana’s cuts, in fact, they suggest a threshold to cross, a bound-ary to be overcome, to finally lose oneself in an boundless without signs, where even memory, fragmentary gauze, unstable and very fragile woven by life, will not serve.

The exhibition Fragmenta is a journey in Time, are flection on the concepts of Narration. Fragments, the origin cells, projectus in the world of eternal Time. Achieving and ending the action no longer exists. Fragmenta projects us in the dimension of pure events, which is that ofinfinite time. An action has always already happened and is always about to happen.
