Massimo Mercelli
Massimo Mercelli: flutist
Massimo Mercelli is the flutist in the world with the most important dedications; star composers as Penderecki, Gubaidulina, Glass, Nyman, Bacalov, Morricone, Galliano, Sollima wrote and/or performed with him. Massimo studied flute with the famous flautists André Jaunet and Maxence Larrieu. At just 19 years of age, he became the principal flute at Teatro La Fenice in Venice, won the Prize Francesco Cilea, the Concorso Internazionale Giornate Musicali and the Concorso Internazionale di Stresa.
He has performed as a soloist in some of the world most prestigious concert halls, like Carnegie Hall, Herkulessaal, Munchen, Philarmonie, Berlin, NCPA, Teatro Colon, Concertgebouw, Auditorium RAI, etc., performing with artists as Yuri Bashmet, Valery Gergiev, Krzysztof Penderecki, Philip Glass, etc., with orchestras as Berliner Philarmoniker, Sinfonia Varsovia, the Filarmonica del Teatro Regio di Torino, Moscow Soloists, Filarmonica Toscanini, etc.
Massimo Mercelli is Artistic Director and founder of Emilia Romagna Festival. Since 2001, he has been a member of the board of counselling of the European Festivals Association (EFA) and on April 2011 he was elected vice president until May 2017.
Mercelli has been a jury member of the following international competitions: International Competition of Geneva, Concours de Flute Jean-Pierre Rampal – Concours Internationaux de la Ville de Paris, Concert Artist Guild of New York (USA), Fischoff Chamber Music Competition of South Bend (USA) Beijing Flute competition (China).
As a pedagogue, he gave masterclasses in Oslo Norges Musikkhogskole (Norway), Sibelius Academy in Helsinki (Finland), Cleveland Institute of Music (USA), Akron University (USA), Trinity college of music (UK), etc.
For his work as a promoter of Music, he was awarded twice by the European Commissioner for Culture JAN FIGEL and by the French deputy minister for Culture (Prague University and Paris, Centre Pompidou).

LI Biao, one of the few outstanding solo percussionists in the recent international music stage, win the world acclaim as an exceptional solo percussionist in the contemporary era by virtue of his extraordinary musicality of the percussion instruments as well as his unique demeanor.
As a talented soloist, LI is competent in performing an extensive range of musical work. LI Biao gave a great number of solo recitals during various music festivals, cooperated with renowned orchestras and chamber ensembles including the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Bamberg Symphoniker, the Verona Opera, the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, the Orchestra National de Lyon, the Guilbenkian Orchestra,

Beijing Symphony Orchestra
The Beijing Symphony Orchestra was founded in October 1977. In the 1990s, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra underwent a significant reform and reorganization under the leadership of artistic director TAN Lihua. The orchestra has held annual musical events for over ten years, with 90-100 concerts given each year. Starting with the classics, the orchestra has performed nearly 1,000 musical works, including operatic music, symphonic music, chamber music and contemporary music. It has cooperated with world-renowned maestros, instrumentalists and famous international orchestras to expand its repertoire. The Forbidden City Concert Hall, situated in the imperial garden, belongs to the Beijing Symphony Orchestra.
