“Empower the BEAT” is a project by EUNIC China and Migas Mercado in Beijing.

EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture – is Europe’s network of national cultural institutes and organisations, with 39 members from all EU Member States and associate countries.

This special event is organized by the EUNIC China thanks to the support of the following EUNIC China Members: Austrian Cultural Forum, British Council, Cervantes Institute, Embassy of Germany, Embassy of Spain, Embassy of Switzerland, Embassy of Ukraine, Hungarian Cultural Institute, and the Italian Cultural Institute in Beijing.

DJ Mânaa

DJ Manaa (Switzerland)Mânaa is a Swiss-Moroccan DJ based in Zurich and founder of the collective VOUS ETES REUS? Active for years on the Swiss underground and alternative scene, she creates spaces of freedom and culture out of ordinary structures while creating a platform for sharing and exchange. Through memory and history she likes to tell her story with the rhythm of percussion. She likes to mix sounds with Arabic influences, house, RnB, and bass music.

DJ Kouni

Costanza, known by her stage name Kouni, with her Chinese alias 蔻妮 “Cardamom Girl,” began her DJ career performing across Tuscany, eventually reaching other Italian cities and Asia.  Kouni has performed at prominent events with the Artax collective from Florence, opening for guests like Stephan Krus, Sumia, Lee Ann Roberts, Sara Mozzillo, and SPFDJ, experimenting with raw techno. She has performed in several Florence clubs, including Tenax Club, bringing northern European house sounds to venues such as Babylon Club, XO Club, Fiorino sull’Arno, as well as Play Techno in Pontedera, clubs in Sardinia, and at Lake Garda.  Kouni is now a resident DJ for Tropical Animals events in Florence.

 

DJ ZaaSki

ZaaSki is a DJ and promoter. She was born and raised in the UK, and grew up surrounded by the most vibrant vibes the UK music scene has to offer. Having been spoiled with London’s nightlife she brings proper UK vibes. Be prepared to go on a journey as she merges the best of British Urban jams — all the feels of UKG, House and UK Bass.

 

Lana Den

Lana Den is an artist based in Beijing who playfully manifests her love for groovy techno, house and trancy tunes. Lana draws inspiration from her clubbing experience in Berlin, passionate dancers in Beijing and tape cassettes that her parents used to listen to in the car in the 90s. Lana performs both in Asia and Europe.

 

DJ Elina

DJ Elina, from Ukraine. At 27 years old, she has become a quite well-known hip-hop music DJ in the country, known for her unique music style and captivating stage presence. With extensive experience, she has been a featured guest at numerous renowned music festivals, brand events, and private parties, including the Budweiser Electronic Music Festival, Corona Beer National Tour, Zhangbei Douyin Influencer Music Festival, and the Anshan Hot Air Balloon Light Show Music Festival. Additionally, she has provided exclusive music support for prestigious brands such as Mercedes-Benz, Dongfeng Motor, and FAW-Volkswagen. Elina’s exceptional crowd control skills and passionate performances have won over live audiences. Her Douyin fan base has exceeded 270,000.

 

DJ Cleopatri

Cleopatri’s music style is irresistible; Groovy Techno, Tech-house and Electronic music mixed with south Spanish rhythms and instruments, South American beats and voices, along with African experimental music. Every set is a unique idea, a feeling to convey and an electrifying spectacle worth listening to.
