The topic of the conference, which is organized on the occasion of the exhibition by the Embassy of Slovenia “Archives Exhibition on Ferdinand Augustin Hallerstein and Jiheng Armillary Sphere” (opened on April 17th at the First Historical Archives in Beijing), is the role and life of some of the most important Jesuit missionaries at the court of Emperor Qianlong and their achievements in the respective fields of specialization.
